Episode 3 – HIV, Women and Sex 

Within the podcast we explore with Bex the very important subject of sexual pleasure for women living with HIV. Bex provides an overview of the some of the key factors that are important to consider when exploring sexual wellbeing and pleasure within the clinical consultation. 

Episode Guest: Rebecca (Bex) Mbewe 

Bex is a mentor, speaker and trainer with long standing experience of working within the HIV sector. Bex has been living well with HIV for the last 24 years. Bex is passionate about gender equality and women’s health rights and is an active member of the UK Community Advisory Board (UKCAB). Bex sit on the British HIV Association (BHIVA) Steering Group Committee as a community representative ands is an Associate at Salamander Trust, which aims to protect, promote and enhance the health and rights of people marginalised by societies worldwide as a result of their gender, HIV status or sexual and reproductive health issues. Bex is also one of three directors for 4M Mentor Mothers Network CIC, Bex has recently taken up the post of GROWS Training and Project Coordinator at Positively UK, a project that looks at issues that affect women and ageing.
